MORO THREATENS #BENUE LAWMAKER OVER LOSS OF SPEAKERSHIP

The immediate past Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, has vowed to challenge what he said was betrayal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by a state lawmaker, James Ejembi, representing Okpokwu constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly.

Ejembi allegedly betrayed the cause of the PDP which had majority in the House by supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates with minority legislators to take the position of speaker and other key positions while he got the deputy speaker position.

A visibly angry Moro, who spoke at a reception in his honour in Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area of the state on Sunday, threatened to do everything legally possible to make the ‘betraying’ lawmaker pay for his ‘sins’.

“I had put my resources together to enable him win the election. But he (Ejembi) has betrayed the people at the House of Assembly. We will forgive him. But we will not accept his attitude and actions.

“He ceases to represent the aspiration of our people. I will do everything within my legal power to make sure that Ejembi answers to that betrayal. He has supported the APC to defeat the PDP in the House. It is the highest level of betrayal,” the former minister said.
