LOBI STARS SLUMP TO PILLARS DEFEAT AS POOR FORM CONTINUES

Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi have continued their poor run of form in the first half of the season with a defeat to Kano Pillars in Sunday’s Week 20 Nigeria Professional Football League tie played at the Sani Abacha Stadium.


Kano Pillars went ahead by two first half goals from Rabiu Ali and Shehu Shagari, before Anthony Okpotu pulled one back for the visitors in the second half. It ended 2 goals to 1 in favour of Kano Pillars.

Pillars coach, Mohammed Baba Ganaru praised his team and promised to continue working hard.
“We will keep on working hard to change the character of the team.”

Lobi Stars are now 17th on the NPFL log after 20 matches and will be looking to also improve on their performances to escape relegation.
