SERAP Urges U.N. To Intervene On Benue Massacre

Human rights group, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on the United Nations to convene a special session of its Human Rights Council over the massacres.

The group sent the appeal to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, and urged him to urgently call for a special session of the UN Human Rights Council to address the “persistent killings”, not just in Benue, but also other parts of Nigeria.

SERAP urged Prince Al Hussein to speak out strongly against the killings and make an official visit to Nigeria to discuss the killings and offer concrete actions to end the killings.
