Idoma Voice Editor, colleague escape death in Igumale

Tragedy was averted Sunday evening when Managing Editor of Idoma Voice Newspaper, Ameh Jerry and one other colleague miraculously escaped death by whiskers after their car lost its brake and veered off the road. Ameh and his friend were on their way to Otukpo from Okpoga, headquarters of Okpokwu Local Government area of Benue State when the incident occoured in Igwumale, some minutes away from Ado Local Government secretariat.

Confirming the incident to our correspondent on phone, a thankful Ameh said he was still in shock over what happened.

“I just can’t thank God enough for our lives. It looks like I am still dreaming; because I just can’t explain how the whole thing happened. Suddenly, our car just veered off the road and turned to the opposite direction, before we knew it we found ourselves inside a swamp in a bush,” he said whit a quivery voice.

Ameh said both of them are alive but came out unhurt, adding that efforts are still ongoing to bring out the car from the bush.
