Police in Benue State yesterday nabbed four suspected cultists in Gboko area of the state. The command’s spokesman, Austin Ezeani, said the suspects were arrested with dangerous weapons and that they have made useful confession which will help further investigation.

Ezeani said more than ever, the command is determined to approach the disturbing trend of cultism from different directions in order to achieve results.

He noted that the police in view of such determination have commenced sensitisation of children in both primary and secondary schools across the state on the dangers of cult activities.

“We are also sensitising people in flash point areas on what to do and signs to identify cultists,” the police spokesman said.
