#Benue: Ortom Appoint 15 Special Advisers, Slash Ministries from 17 to 13

Gov. Samuel Ortom has appointed 15 Special Advisers and slashed the number of ministries from 17 to 13 to save overhead costs.

It is reported that the state had 17 ministries, 28 special advisers and over 70 personal aides under former Gov. Gabriel Suswam.

This is contained in a statement by Tahav Agerdzua, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and ICT, in Makurdi on Wednesday.

Some of the ministries affected by reform were, Commerce, Environment, Science and Technology and Housing.

NAN reports that the affected ministries were merged with related ministries.

It stated that the new advisers would be sworn next Tuesday with the 13 commissioners.
