Police in Benue State at the weekend paraded 22 suspects in connection with various crimes committed within the past one month.

State Commissioner of Police, Hyacinth Dagala, attributed success made in the fight against crime and criminal activities within the period under review in the state to concerted efforts of personnel in the command. 

Among those apprehended were 13 armed robbery suspects while nine others were held for kidnapping, unlawful possession of firearms and criminal conspiracy.

Items recovered from them include six cars, motorcycles, guns, live cartridges, charms, locally made pistols, knives. handsets and some amount of money. 

Dagala used the opportunity to assure members of the public of adequate police protection, while equally soliciting for cooperation and information that would help the command to tackle crime.
