5 NYSC Members Win Awards In Benue

Five corps members won various awards as a total of 2, 182 batch C members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Benue State passed out of the scheme after a colourful parade in Makurdi.

Mrs. Esther Atamewan, the coordinator of NYSC in the state, during the passing out parade at the IBB Square, charged the graduates to be good ambassadors as they proceed on the journey to actualise their visions in life.

She commended the five members who distinguished themselves within the period of their service in the state by going extra miles to execute life-touching community development projects in their host communities.

While regretting the loss of two coppers during the period, Atamewan urged the past members to remain resolute in their quest to attain lofty heights through positive means.

Similarly, the state governor, represented by Secretary to the State Governmnet (SSG), Targema Takema, expressed his gratitude to the graduating corps members for selflessly committing their intellectual capabilities and creative ingenuity towards improving the living standard of inhabitants in the state.

He added that their numerous contributions in the areas of agriculture, education and healthcare could not be easily quantified in monetary terms.
