30-year-old Sandra Terngu has been nabbed by the Benue state police command for allegedly impersonating Benue State’s first lady, Mrs. Eunice Ortom.

According to multiple reports, Terngu claimed not-guilty after she was docked before a Makurdi magistrate court presided over by Mr. Austin Ityonyiman on Friday November 20, 2015.

It was further reported that Terngu was arrested in Makurdi town when she attended an event to sensitize indigenes of the state on HIV/AIDS.

A resident of Saint Dominic Catholic Church road in Gboko area of Makurdi, Terngu’s defence counsel, A. Ahile, who applied for her bail, assured that the accused is a good citizen and will always be physically present in court sessions until the investigations are over.

Thus, the presiding magistrate granted the accused a bail in the sum of N20, 000 with a surety while the matter was adjourned to December 22, 2015 for mention.
