We need unity in Idoma land -Abba Moro

The immediate past Minister of Interior Comrade Abba Moro has said the unity of Idoma people is nonnegotiable if there must be progress and development.

Comrade Moro made this remark on Saturday in Otukpo during his keynote address at the official opening of this year's Mark the Ball tournament.

According to him, the Idoma people through their son, Senator David Mark have recorded a lot of achievements at both national and international communities and could not afford to move backwards at the moment of "most reckoning".

" It is when we are united as a people that we can do extraordinary things", Moro said.

The former Minister also used the occasion to extol the leadership qualities of Senator Mark and appreciated the organisers of 'Mark D Ball' tournament which he described as a veritable hub for marketing activities every December in Otukpo.

" The activity is taking place in the bowel of the traditional
headquarters of Idoma land and it's social and economic
importance cannot be overemphasised", he added.
The Ogigomebe K'Idoma submitted by saying the Idoma people should rally round Senator David Mark as a way of reciprocating all that the Okpokpowulu K'Idoma has done for his people.

"I must say something that touches the sensibility and sanctity of the Idoma people.
" As we match into 2016, do not forget that David Mark is a light to the Idoma people and he represents the aspirations of the Idoma people and we must support and encourage him to continue doing more for the people", he posited.
