Suswam Still Our Leader, Benue PDP Reaffirms

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Benue State has reaffirmed that former governor, Gabriel Suswam was its leader in the state.

This was contained in a communique issued after an extensive meeting of Benue State Working Committee  members from Zones A and B senatorial districts held in Markudi.It was signed by Dr. Tsetim  Ayargwer, state deputy-chairman of the party and Terhemen Tarzoor,  governorship candidate of the PDP in  2015.

Others include Hon. Dominic Ucha, member, Benue  State House of Assembly,  Tiev state constituency; Dr. Stephen Tsav, former speaker, Benue State House of Assembly; and Dr. Laha Dzever, chairman, G-14 Elders Forum.

It stated “that the PDP in Benue  State shall strive harder than ever before to close ranks amongst its leadership and members and work for the reclaiming of the party’s dominance of politics in Nigeria, recognising and deferring to the leadership of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman of the party and Rt. Hon. Gabriel Torwua Suswam as its Leader in Benue State.

“That the supremacy of the party as enshrined in its constitution must be upheld at all times by all members of the party, no matter their status, and all must exhibit loyalty and obedience to the party through respect for its statutory and mandated organs.”
