2Baba Bags Honourary Degree from Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo state

One of Nigeria’s most decorated singers in his generation, 2Baba has been penned down for a honourary degree.

2Baba has been selected alongside other Nigerians who will receive honourary degrees from the prestigious Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo state on May 10, 2016.

“Ladies and gentlemen! I’m plsd 2 let u know that I’m going 2 be Conferred with an honorary degree @ Igbinedion University on the 10th of May in okada,” the ‘African Queen’ singer announced last night on Instagram, adding, “U are all invited. #GRATEFUL#igbinedionuniversity Thank u for the honour.”

Born Innocent Ujah Idibia came to the spotlight while with the group Plantashun Boiz. He later went solo and joined Kennis Music where he released his debut solo album, Face 2 Face in May 2004 which sold over two million copies, establishing him Africa’s best.

Recall that 2Baba in his Face 2 Face album sang that people take him for a fool just because he did not finish school in his Ifana Ibagha track.

2Baba dropped out of Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu where he bagged an Ordinary National Diploma in business administration and management. He dropped out because of his love for music.
