Shocking! Gunmen Abducts Benue Commissioner for Women Affairs

Gunmen believed to be staunch members of a kidnapping syndicate have reportedly abducted the commissioner for women affairs in Benue state, Barrister Mwuese Mnyim.

The abductors, it was gathered on Sunday that they kidnapped the commissioner at the entrance of her residence located in the highbrow New GRA Makurdi, while she was returning from a meeting at Government House.

However, the women affairs commissioner, Mnyim was abducted in the night during the weekend. It was also gathered that security operatives quickly swung into action and the victim was released the next day.

The chief press secretary to the governor, Terver Akase, told LEADERSHIP on telephone yesterday that “the information on the kidnap of the commissioner was sketchy and yet to be confirmed when it was later received that she was again, released by the abductors the next day. But we will confirm and reach you accordingly.”
