Former Senate President David Mark Condemns Murder of Police Officers in Benue

Former Senate President, David Mark, has condemned last Sunday’s invasion and murder of three police officers at Igumale in the Ado Local Government Area Police Station, Benue State.

This came on a day youths in the state, on the platform of Benue Youth Network, BYN, urged the Federal Government to wade into the rising cases of bloodbath in the state on account of farmers and herdsmen clashes. Senator Mark urged his constituents to “cooperate with security operatives to fish out the perpetrators of the crime.”

In a statement, yesterday, in Makurdi by his Media Assistant, Paul Mumeh, Mark  lamented that “in a bizarre circum-stance, two students of Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, believed to be brothers, were days back murdered in cold blood.” He urged youths in the state to refrain from any act of criminality or violence because “you will be putting your lives and future in jeopardy.”
