Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has given assurance that the State Government will deepen its collaboration with the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism to provide numerous jobs for the people.

The Governor stated this during an inspection visit to the Entrepreneur Development Centre, North Central Zone in Makurdi.

He said the training at the Centre would add value to the state, promising that his administration would constantly supervise the ongoing work to ensure early completion.

Speaking earlier, the Director General of the Institute, Mrs. Chika Balogun, said over one thousand youths would benefit from the training.

She urged the people of the state to take advantage of job opportunities in the Tourism and Hospitality industry which they would acquire during the training.

Also present was the Programme Director, CBN, Entrepreneur Development Centre, North Central Zone, Mr. Lucky Onmonya.

The Director, Benue State Council For Arts and Culture, Mr. Terseer Aernyi later presented to the Governor, the certificate of Most Consistent State at the National Festival of Arts and Culture, NAFEST, the first position awarded to the state troupe recently in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
