Legislators from the Benue North East Senatorial District popularly known as Zone A, led by Senator Barnabas Gemade, visited Governor Samuel Ortom at the Benue Peoples House to pay a new year solidarity visit.

Leader and spokesman of the delegation, Senator Gemade stated that the visit was to felicitate with the Governor, commend him for the manner he was leading the state and express appreciation for the peaceful celebration of Christmas throughout the state without a single incidence of violence.

In his response Governor Ortom thanked the legislators for the visit and urged their colleagues from the other two districts to emulate them.

He said synergy between leaders of the state was needed to fast track development.

The delegation included the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Honourable Terkimbi Ikyange, and members of the House of Representatives for Sankera and Kwande, Messrs Emmanuel Udende and Benjamin Wayo.
